The Walkmen at The Vogue, October 5, 2009 (Concert Review)

The Walkmen have found the perfect balance between serene folk and lively rock. At times, one could only stand and admire the musicianship as strings were plucked, drums were stricken, and keys were pushed. At other times, it was easy to unknowingly be swept away by a song’s velocity and find oneself rocking and bobbing to the music.



Cursive @ Radio Radio (Concert Review)

On an otherwise drab and uneventful Monday evening, My Old Kentucky Blog brought long-time indie-punk-rockers Cursive to Fountain Square to liven things up a bit. With a dance floor packed tighter than skinny jeans on a hipster and heads banging in the air ‘til the very last note, Radio Radio was unquestionably the place you wanted to be Monday night.



The Seedy Seeds @ Vollrath

First time at The Historic Vollrath Tavern and I was really impressed. It is great to find more places in Indianapolis for live music. The Seedy Seeds opened up for Blind Pilot and put on a great show – so much energy!
